Inishtrahull

Six miles northeast of Ireland’s most northerly point, Malin Head, lies Inishtrahull, an uninhabited picturesque Island. Renound for its birdwatching, including northern fulmars, eider ducks, kittiwakes, and black guillemots its also home to seals, rabbits, deer as well as rare plant species and a sea shell beach, evidence of its prior inhabitants is still around to explore including as an old schoolhouse, a graveyard, the old lighthouse and the ruins of stone cottages. Day trips are available from Bunagee Pier via Inishowen Boating or Amazing Grace yacht charters, during the trip back and forth often dolphins or Basking sharks can be seen. Book well in advance during the summer months as spots are limited with both charters.

Inishtrahull Charters are located about 20 minutes from the cottage
